The brainchild of International concert pianist Guy Murgatroyd who concieved the collective to counter the oversaturation of nineteenth century song repertoire in todays recital hall programmes.
The collective has a great many singers on its books who will be hand selected for each project who will seek to explore as widely as possible not just in terms of music but also in terms of language (current plans involve repertoire in up to 25 languages) and performance style (including Aleatoric music and graphic notation as well as traditionally notated music). The collective is also actively seeking new commissions from living composers to continue the expansion of the art song/song cycle repertoire.
The concerts will continue once a month throughout the year at various venues across London.
